No one should try that kind of weight loss unsupervised and I think your weight loss goal is a bit on the high side, however that's not to say it cannot be done.

The only way I have found to loose that much weight is from a raw plant based diet (high fiber, high carb, low fat) You can have as much as you want 3 times a day. Soups, salads, steamed greens all of them raw, just to name a few. Mixed with a bit of exercise comes down to a pound of fat loss per day (more or less).

you should eat at least 3-4 healthy meals a day.

drink a lot of water, it flushes you out. also, if you think you're hungry even right after you've just eaten, it is because you're thirsty.

eat regularly. don't starve yourself, because once you start eating again, you'll gain everything back, trust me.

eat lots of fruits and veggies.if you want to eat bread, make sure it's whole grain. white bread is pretty fattening.

if you're not a vegetarian, you can also eat lean meats, like fish, turkey and chicken breast. to know how much meat you should eat in a day, make your hand into a fist. the size of the back of your hand is how much meat you should eat in a day. eggs are also a good food when trying to lose weight.

skip out on sweets, candy, sugary foods, chips, fried foods, ice cream, cake, and cookies. if you want something sweet, like for dessert, try berries, raisins or another type of dried fruit. if that doesn't quench your sweet tooth, try Weight Watchers or Smart Ones desserts.

if you feel hungry, but don't want to over eat, chew gum. it'll keep your mouth busy until it's time to eat again.

cut out ALL soda! if you stop drinking soda, it helps you out A LOT!

also, it's very important to keep a food journal. you write down what you eat that day, and see how much you're REALLY eating. and if you go out of line, you can catch it before you make the same mistake the next day.

and don't forget to exercise! try walking, jogging, jump rope, dancing, hula hooping, crunches and/or sit-ups, bike riding and swimming. try exercising for 30 minutes a day, and as the weeks go by, build up your time by about 10 minutes each week.

I've got a lot of friends at college who are associated with a lot of different groups that host a lot of different events that I've got little interest in. I was wondering if it was possible to change the settings so that anytime someone invites me to an event, I don't get a new notification.

I have gone under accounts, account settings, and notifications, but all this allows me to do is disable notifications to my e-mail and cell phone...I still get notifications on my facebook.

I live in Africa. Every summer, I go to Italy for vacation. My mom is Italian. Well, it happens that my Italian friend who lives in Milan, invited me for a week to go to Milan, in August, because she is also inviting her other best friend. I have asked my father if I could go, just for one week, and said "NO!" right away, without giving me any reason. I believe my dad does not really like this friend, but i do not find any reason to let me go there for a week.

You are very young to be travelling that far i presume on your own? But if you are used to flying to Italy regularly i dont suppose that is too much of a problem. If you usually stay with your mum then your dad will know that you are safe and protected but staying with a friend he dosent like is probably going to be a problem for him as you wont have parental supervision. I've been so busy recently with college and work that I've had no time to myself and I've started eating a lot of unhealthy food just because its easier to get hold of. It's meant that i've gone up to a dress size to a size 10, which means my clothes don't fit so well, and the main problem is I just feel fat and bloated all the time. It's knocked my confidence a bit and I don't feel that I look good anymore. I don't have the time to join a gym at the moment either which is annoying!

Any tips on my diet etc. to help me get back to a size 8 fairly quickly?

Looking to vacation one on of Italy's beaches with my 2-year old daughter while my husband attends Lamborghini training in April. I have never traveled to Europe and am not sure what to expect. However, I have been to Mexico and LOVE all-inclusive resorts. Room, food and drinks included. Does Italy have any of these all-inclusive types of resorts?

Considering Italian study abroad?

I am an American university student thinking about studying abroad in Italy next year. I'm looking for somewhere I can live fairly affordably. I really want to be immersed in the culture and come away with a better understanding of the local ways of life and language. I was thinking about Florence, but I've heard it's pretty touristy and there are a lot of American students. I would probably do some travelling in other parts of Italy on breaks and such, so this wouldn't be the only place I see.

I'd rule Florence out too. Bologna, Rome and Perugia are where you'll find many exchange students wanting to learn Italian. Rome being so big means that you may be able to find affordable housing - certainly not in the center of the city but in one of the many suburbs. There are several US exchange programs in Venice too but I would assume them to be expensive. Wake Forest University and the University of Kentucky have programs in Venice. Perugia is a beautiful place and it is just about one big campus.

The only reason I want to start putting maca into my diet is because of its endurance and strength benefits. I never really noted the fact that it is popularly used as a hormonal balance supplement... would it be counter-productive to consume maca while I'm on the pill since it "enhances sexual ability and fertility"? I've only been on the pill for a month, and I just purchased the maca powder so I haven't consumed any of it yet. Should I wait to get used to the pill and then slowly start inserting the maca into my diet to see if there are any crazy side effects? Or is it okay if I just slowly start using it now?

Every time I buy something that is not a necesity for myself or my kids, I get lectured by my cousins. I bought my daughter an $80 dvd player for our long car rides, and I got lectured, I purchased a 2 new nightstands for my bedroom, lecture. I am a very responsible person financially, we have over $10,000 in the bank, and we add to our savings anywhere from $200-$400 a month. The rest, we spend because we barely have any bills. Anyways, I posted on my facebook status that I was really excited that we were going to buy a pool for the summer, and I recieved 3 responses. One of my cousins wrote "please tell me it's an above ground pool", her sister (my other cousin) wrote: "Please tell me it's a plastic one.." and her smart *** boyfriend wrote "If you're goingt to get a pool you might as well get a jacuzzi too." Wtf???? I don't want to sound like a *****, but I think they're just jealous because my cousins used to get everything they wanted from their mom before she passed away, and now their dad doesn't give them any spending money and the only money they have is settlement money from their law suits, and her boyfriend doesn't make much and has to support his mom and brother. I'm not saying that their situations aren't sad, but it doesn't make it okay for them to treat me this way. Everything is expensive in Venice. I suggest that you visit a grocery store and buy all the stuff (including water) instead of going to restaurants. If you take a seat in their restaurants, they charge you almost double the cost of the food. Example: I bought an ice cream in one of the stores at 9 euro. While watching people come and go, I took a seat. When it's about time to pay, my bill became more than 18 euro. I am referring to the restaurants near San Marco.

Venice is one the most beautiful place in the world. I suggest you spend more on sightseeing instead of food. You can visit St. Mark's Square, feed the pigeons, take the gondola ride, Murano glass blowing factory. It will be worth all your expense. From my extensive travel experience, the best adapters are sold by the vendor who sold you your laptop (Dell). You pay more, but you get a company that stands behind its product that will ship you replacements. :)

Just bought a crock pot and love how easy it is to use. I'm trying to watch my diet so I'm looking for a good, healthy chili recipe. Can be chicken, beef, turkey, whatever. What's good?

Ingredients

# 2 lbs chicken breasts

# 3 bell peppers(green, red and yellow)

# 1 medium onion

# 1 teaspoon chili powder

# 1/2 teaspoon cumin

# 2(14ounce)cans black beans

# 1(4ounce)can green chilies

# 1(14ounce)can creamed corn

# 1(14ounce)can stewed tomatoes

Directions

1.

Chop peppers, onion and chicken into bite size pieces.

2.

Saute the above with spices until vegetables are soft and chicken is no longer pink.

3.

Dump chicken mixture into crock pot with green chilis (drained), corn, tomatoes and only one can of beans (drained).

4.

Puree remaining can of beans in it's own liquid with hand blender or food processor.

5.

Add to crock pot and cook for 4-6 hours on low

I'm 13 bi and have had this massive crush on this guy for the past 2 years. He looks great which is why have the crush, but I don't know him! Oh, I know the pain. I've dealt with it twice. I'm a bi guy and I'm 14. It truly sucks but I couldn't change either guy's sexuality. I had a crush on this guy who rides the same bus as me and goes to the same school as me. I never talked to him because I was too afraid to. He's extremely beautiful, hehehe, but I knew from the way he talked to his friends and what he talked about that he was straight. Eventually I sat next to him and began talking. I don't think it's that your easily angered, more of that when you are angered your emotions overwhelm you. It's normal as long as your not inflicting pain on yourself or others. Try finding the source of your anger and resolving those issues. You could also try listening to music that you can relate to or that gets you pumped, going for a walk, meditation, screaming, or writing. If these don't work try talking to someone. I know I sound like a shrink but please try them and I hope I was able to help.

I have Guitar Hero 3 and it is awesome. GH 2 is fun too. I suggest GH because there is more challenging songs and more options like breaking your guitar, buying new clothes, hair, people, and guitars, than gh 1 and 2(that i know of). I love it!

Let’s Review The Facts

At Foxcon in southern China

they have a concentration camp wall

around a giant concrete box

that houses 40,000 workers

most around the age of 12

most working 12 hour shifts

who sleep in quarters

most with 12 beds to a room

stacked like cargo crates

they have guards

watching the workers

guards watching the guards

and security cameras

watching the whole show

as a worker purposely

knocks a item

off the production line

just so he can move

his fusing vertebrae once

in the 12 hours

he is welded into place

all so we can have Lady Gaga

I traveled Italy last summer and when I went to Sorrento we opted to stay at a bed and breakfast owned by a real Italian family. That was the best accomadations choice we made the whole 25 days our family was in Italy. It is on the outskirts of Sorrento and doesn't have a view but, the family will hook you up on all the info. on taking a bus into the main part of Sorrento. The B&B is authentic as it gets! They have hostels too, if you are watching costs... The B& B has a GREAT GREAT food and an actual cooking school to match. The family is awesome, so nice and accomadating- you really feel part of their Italian family the second you walk through the gates! I didn't want to leave! The rooms are not luxurious, but who needs marble floors and gold trim when you have so much to see and do... Your experience will be very fun and educational on Italian life. They also have special tours available- a friend of the Italian family comes to Mamie Camilla where he can take you on a private boat to Capri. If I was going back, this would be my FIRST PICK!!

It seems so obvious to me that she likes me (I wish I could like..video record her or something less creepy so you all could see her expressions lol) but then, I consider the other option, and though it doesn't fit like a puzzle piece, it could still work as an explanation.

She has a friend or two at the gym and she tried introducing me to one of them a couple times. Both times, this girl wouldn't even look at me when she introduced her. Both of the girls act jealous/b*tcy. It could make sense that she is also jealous/b*Tchy and messing with me.

The only fault with that explanation is that I see her watching me a lot when she doesn't think I can see and it's always genuine. Her expression goes really soft and she has that look like she shouldn't be looking at me or she'll get caught sort of look, or just a real pleasant expression. And to add, when I first trained with her, she was really sweet and always tried to make me laugh (and looked proud when she managed to). When she tried and I didn't laugh, or when she touched me and looked me in the eye and received no response, she would look away frustrated/disappointed.

But before we knew each other, she watched me a lot, and sometimes it looked plain evil. It could just have been her straight face. The flirting, could have been faked (?). The jealousy when I mentioned a guy or looked at a guy, could have been because she felt I would get more guys...idk. There were times she just wasn't there, was mood/irritated and had a "don't talk to me" demeanor and when I approached often she wouldn't look or smile but would say "how are you?" without really listening or caring. And a couple of the guy trainers, esp. at first, would talk about me and check me out so she and her friends(who also work at the gym) being jealous could fit. I'm not sure I've made girls really jealous before...I get admiring looks from women from time to time, but I've never made anyone straight up dislike me like that. The one b*Tchy girl is from So Cal,lived in Hollywood for a while, and this woman went to college in SanDiego for several years...and So Cal is known for it's catty girls...(we're in Nor Cal now)

It would really upset me if this were the case! If she found it amusing that the girl she was jealous of was into her and had asked her out... I've known her a little more than 4 months so it's more than a crush now. She's 25...and I honestly don't see someone pretending to be interested for so long out of jealousy... What do you think? What can I do to test this? Whatever the case, I am NOT just another person at the gym to her. I know this

It's really hard to tell, but from what you've said here, I'd say she's interested but just as confused as you! She has no idea if you're interested or not either :-) I also think she tried introducing you to some other girls so they could tell her if they thought you were interested in her or not. If I were you I'd try to find some excuse for seeing her outside the gym (I have no idea what she likes but something like an exhibit, a special coffee place, a movie... anything that you've "just" heard about and "want to go but not alone" and would she like to come with, etc.). It's the only way to let her know you're interested without being too obvious and if she says yes, you'll know she is - and then you take it from there :-)

When I stay overnight in Venice, I prefer the San Marco area because I'm there for an event like Carnevale, Il Redentore, or the Historic Regatta. we work together and are facebook friends, he knows I am a christian- I know he is not, and this hasn't been a problem in the 7-9 months or so that we have worked together (in fact we always had a lot of fun). We actually established early on a "I respect you, you respect me" truce on our philosophical disagreements. recently, today he posted a bunch of very rude and inappropriate and poorly written articles on facebook that try and debunk the bible and called all Christians "gullible" on his info. I ended up deleting him from my friends because I honestly was going through some personal problems at the time and did not need a confrontation with my co- worker. We don't work in the same section of the company anymore and about 2 weeks later he noticed I defriended him and he genuinely seemed confused about it. The thing is I cannot change his lack of respect for me and all it would do would either create a hostile work environment or he would simply apologize even though it would not make him respect me anymore as a friend so I simply distanced myself from him while still acting friendly and nice. My question is what would you have done? How would you react?

personally, i think it's kind of juvenile to delete someone off of your facebook because of something they said. either way, i understand why you did it, but if it were me, the way i'd justify what you said by being truthful. he needs to know why you did what you did. tell him that you thought what he said was really inappropriate. each person is allowed to have their own views, but its not in anyone's interest to demean someone else's views. if he is an atheist, good for him, but that does not give him the right to say something bad about anyone else's religion. also, even if it doesn't change the way you feel about him, i think it is important for him to apologize. either way, good for you for sticking up for what you believe in, and i think you should let him know that.

hi im 14 and i weigh 136 lbs and i am 5"6 i want to lose 1 inch of belly fat and 0.4 inches of chest fat (basically because that is all the fat i have, and im working on having a flat stomach/chest) i used to eat around 1600 calories a day but for the past 2 weeks i have lowered it to around 900-1100. i dont eat fat foods.. for breakfast i eat a bowl of grape nuts with milk.. for lunch i eat a turkey/ham sandwich and low fat yogurt and sometimes an apple/banana.. and for dinner i usually eat some cooked meat with vegetables.. i trust my mom not to cook anything bad for my diet. i run 30 minutes a day 3 days a week... and i have gym 2 days a week where we play a sport for 30-45 mins... i want to know how long will it take me to reach my goal?

I was thinking about this lying in bed. Milk is good for you, right?

So why not replace all but one meal a day with a glass or two or more with milk to lose weight, strengthen bones, and maybe help height? (farfethched, je sais! But the two other aren't as much.)

Homogenized products are not healthy, as the fat in them has been altered for the purpose of "dietary aesthetics" (a smooth, blended integrated liquid), and as a result it can mostly bypass the normal digestive process and end up directly in your bloodstream instead...making it no more healthy than trans/hydrogenated fats.

The cruel irony is that almost all the "healthy dairy alternatives" like soy milk, almond milk, coconut milk and such also homogenize their products as well.

Also, your body needs normal, healthy, natural fats in good quantity to properly metabolize and capitalize upon most nutrients (including protein, calcium, etc.)...so your body has trouble even using the calcium, protein (etc.) in homogenized products, and much of it goes to waste if you are not ingesting it as part of a larger, balanced, NATURAL healthy meal.

Do the research on homogenized milk and see what the dairy/food industry has been hiding from the public to the best of it's ability. If you want healthy milk/milk-substitutes, you really need to go to specialty stores and buy organic NON-HOMOGENIZED versions (where the creamy fat is naturally separated from the rest of the liquid and floating at the top, as nature intended it...and that fat is actually good for you (even saturated)).

The only homogenized products you should ingest are FAT-FREE ones, and then you need to have it with other items that include natural fats, enzymes, and other minerals (such as magnesium) so that your body can actually make use of the nutrients properly...and it has more trouble doing that on a low/no *natural* fat dietary intake.

Natural fats, including saturated, is all very good for you and your body needs it (which you should be eating instead of all those fat-inducing sugar/carbs). Most man-altered fats, including trans/hydrogenated fats, homogenized fats, and the heavily refined/overheated/rancid fats/oils found in most processed foods. are heart disease waiting to happen.

No. The most common cause of death is the inevitable obsolescence of the human body. We are simply not designed to live forever.

Do not blame the health system for the poor choices of humans to smoke, drink or eat too much. Plus there is all the inherited diseases that we can't do anything about.

I know you want to blame crappy health care, but it is not the main cause of death, sorry

You can educate people all you want, but they are still a bunch of whiners who eat the wrong stuff.

Im 15 yrs old. 5 foot 10.195lbs but pretty muscular. I have a layer of fat over my stomach hiding my abdominal region and I have a pretty big bulge of fat in the lower stomach. What should I do to lose the fat? And how long would it take? Please no responses that involve diet suppliments or weight loss scams/pills. Thanks!
